The Private Psychiatric Clinic with the distinctive title “Asklipios Therapeutic Center” SA was the vision of the late and renowned Neurologist-Psychiatrist Symeon Dere.
In 2005 Symeon Deres together with his wife Fotini Barba-Dere founded the Asklipios Hospital, with a capacity of 80 beds in Veria, Imathia. Since then and until today, Asklipios Therapeutic Center has been providing uninterrupted medical services in the field of mental health, thus making it one of the leading providers in Imathia and in Northern Greece in general in the field of mental health.
From the beginning of the year 2018, the administration of the Asklipios Therapeutic Center was taken over by the children of the founder of the Dere Symeon clinic, the Psychiatrists, Deres Emmanuel and Dere Georgianna-Despina. The Scientific Director of the Hospital, Psychiatrist-Psychotherapist, Roxani Christodolara, but also all the staff of the clinic are inspired by a sense of responsibility towards the patient and his family.
With the establishment and operation of the Private Psychiatric Clinic “Asklipios Therapeutic Center”, an ambitious effort was made to redefine the role of the psychiatric hospital, in a highly aesthetic and well-equipped building, staffed with experienced medical, nursing and administrative staff.
The building facilities with standard hospital architecture are located 3 km from the center of Veria Imathia, just before the settlement Lazochori, with easy access from the highways. It is located in an area of 20,000 sq.m. (20 acres) with modern facilities adapted to offer the best conditions of care and accommodation.
The clinic has the ability to treat psychiatric, neurological, psychiatric geriatric with accompanying pathological problems and other cases with the assurance and assurance that only we can provide. The clinic has treated more than 2,600 patients suffering from mental illness since its inception.
Our starting point is the organized work from the entrance of the patients with the completion of a complete history.
In the process, patients are monitored in individual and group psychotherapy programs by an experienced team of doctors and psychologists and are treated by experienced nursing staff.
At the same time, the patients take part in activities, with the help of social workers, occupational therapists and physiotherapists in order to develop and strengthen their psychological abilities.
Our goal is their reintegration into Greek society through a program of care, treatment and education of patients.
